The FAN6248HAMX from Fairchild Semiconductor is an advanced synchronous rectifier (SR) controller for LLC resonant converter SOIC-8 package. It has two driver stages for driving the SR MOSFETs which are rectifying the outputs of the secondary transformer windings. The two gate driver stages have their own sensing inputs and operate independently of each other. The adaptive parasitic inductance compensation function minimizes body diode conduction maximizing the efficiency. The advanced control algorithm allows stable SR operation over entire load range. It has low operating current in green mode (typ. 350µA), -0.7 to 100V drain dense input pin voltage, 4.5V VDD rising turn-on threshold, 4.2V VDD falling turn-off threshold. Typical applications include high power density laptop adapter, high power density adapter, large screen LCD-TV, PDP-TV, RP-TV power, high efficiency desktop and server power supplies, networking and telecom power supplies, high power LED lighting.
