The AD9740AR is the 10-bit member of the new third generation family in the TxDAC product line. This new family includes the AD9744 (14-bit), AD9742 (12-bit), and AD9740AR (10-bit) high-speed TxDAC converters with a maximum sampling rate of 210 MSPS. The family is pin-compatible with the previous two generations (AD9764/AD9762/AD9760 and AD9754/AD9752/AD9750) with improved performance and lower power dissipation.
The TxDAC product line is optimized for the transmit signal path of communications systems. All of the devices, including the first two generations, share the same interface options, small outline package and pinout, providing an upward or downward component selection path based on performance, resolution, and cost. The AD974x family has lower power dissipation than previous generations, making all three converters suitable for portable and low power applications.
