The CS4272-CZZR is a high-performance integrated audio codec that performs stereo analog-to-digital and digital/analog conversion of up to 24-bit serial values at sample rates up to 192 kHz. The CS4272-CZZR utilizes a differential analog architecture to deliver unmatched analog performance and maximize system flexibility with an on-chip oscillator, output volume control with soft ramp and zero crossing, selectable digital filter response and integrated level shifters for direct interface to logic levels from 2.5 V to 5 V. The on-chip oscillator eliminates the need for an external crystal oscillator circuit, thereby reducing overall design cost and conserving circuit board space. The CS4272-CZZR automatically uses the on-chip oscillator in the absence of an applied master clock, simplifying system design. The wide dynamic range, negligible distortion and premium sound quality of the CS4272-CZZR make it the ideal for applications such as digital mixing consoles, effects processors, DVD recorders, set-top box systems and automotive audio systems.
