The 821034DNG is a single-chip, four channel PCM CODEC with onchipfilters and programmable gain setting. This device provides bothm-Law and A-Law companding digital-to-analog and analog-to-digitalconversions based on ITU-T G.711 - G.714 specifications. The digitalfilters in IDT821034DNG provides the necessary transmit and receive filteringfor voice telephone circuit to interface with time-division multiplexedsystems. The IDT821034DNG has a flexible PCM interface with softwareselectable timing modes and independently programmable time slot foreach transmit and receive channel. It also integrates the SLIC signalingfunctions through internal registers. The CODEC and SLIC control/statusregisters are accessed via the Serial Control Interface.
