Linear Technology’s LTM8057EYPBF and LTM8058 are the follow-up isolated micromodule converters to the LTM8047 and LTM8048. These converters utilize the flyback architecture which supports regulation of an output voltage above, below, or equal to the input voltage. While these devices share many similar characteristics, the LTM8057EYPBF and LTM8058 have three distinct differences: higher isolation voltage up to 2 kVAC or 3 kVDC compared to 500 VAC or 725 VDC, UL recognition which the LTM8047 and LTM8048 do not have, and a working voltage up to 250 V (that is the constant difference in electrical potential between the primary and secondary side) which is not applicable without recognition to an industry safety standard such as UL. Otherwise, the four devices share a similar input voltage range. The LTM8047 and LTM8057EYPBF share the same output voltage range and accuracy. The LTM8048 and LTM8058 share the same output voltage range, accuracy and low-output noise characteristic thanks to the internal post-regulation LDO. All four devices deliver the full 1.5 W total output power to an ambient temperature of 110°C. To summarize against the competition, the LTM8057EYPBF and LTM8058 have the advantage in terms of output voltage range and accuracy, maximum ambient temperature, and size. The LTM8058 adds output noise performance to the list. View all LTM8057EYPBF and LTM8058 product
