Texas Instruments (TI) TL317 series of adjustable linear voltage regulators are able to supply 1.25 V to 37 V with 100 mA output current. The positive voltage regulators need two external resistors to set the output voltage. These regulator ICs have good line and load regulation and they also offer safe area protection, current limiting and overload protection. The TL317 overload protection remains even when the adjustment is disconnected. Capacitors can be required if a bypass is needed, you can also use an optional output capacitor to improve transient response.
Output Voltage range 1.25 V to 32 V with an external resistor divider
Output Current: 100 mA
Input Regulation: 0.01% Typical
Output Regulation: 0.5% Typical
Ripple Rejection Typically 80 dB, adjustment can be bypassed to achieve high ripple rejection
