The Microchip MCP1804 is a Low Dropout (LDO) Voltage Regulator that operates from an input of 2.0 V to 28 V while delivering up to 150 mA of current. The device offers a low quiescent current of 50 μA and only 1 μF of output capacitance is sufficient to stabilise the output. The MCP1804 also has a Current Foldback feature to help protect the device.
