Maxim MAX77680/MAX77681 SIMO Buck-Boost Regulators uses a low 3μA of quiescent current (IQ) to regulate three independent rails. Inefficient LDOs are replaced using the single-inductor multiple-output (SIMO) to expand on battery life. Simultaneously the SIMO offers competition in efficiency to traditional single-output bucks and operates on an input supply between 2.7V and 5.5V. Each output is a buck-boost with glitchless transition between buck and boost operation and are independently programmable between 0.8V and 5.25V. A flexible power sequencer (FPS) integrates within the device controlling the power-up/down order of each output. The MAX77680/MAX77681 provides a total solution size of 15.5mm2 and is available in a 30-bump wafer-level package (WLP).
