The HCPL-530K is a Class K hermetically sealed optocoupler in an 8-Pin ceramic DIP package and the highest level of reliability. Gold plated leads, solder dipped leads and various lead form options are also available. See the datasheet for details.
The HCPL-530K is manufactured and tested on a MIL-PRF-38534 certified line and included in the DLAQualified Manufacturers List QML-38534 for Hybrid Microcircuits. The product is capable of operation and storage over the full military temperature range and may also be purchased as either commercial grade, with full MIL-PRF-38534 Class Level H testing, or from the DLAStandard Microcircuit Drawing (SMD) 5962-96852.
The device consists of a GaAsP LED optically coupled to an integrated high gain photodetector. Minimized propagation delay difference between devices make these optocouplers excellent solutions for improving inverter efficiency through reduced switching dead time. An on chip 20 kohm output pull-up resistor can be enabled by shorting pins 6 and 7, thus eliminating the need for an external pull-up resistor in common IPM applications.
