The TMP275AID is a Temperature Sensor with I²C/SMBus interface capable of reading temperatures with a resolution of 0.0625°C. This sensor is SMBus-compatible and allows up to eight devices on one bus. It requires no external components for operation except for pull-up resistors on SCL, SDA and ALERT, although a 0.1µF bypass capacitor is recommended. The sensing device is the chip itself. The lower thermal resistance of metal causes the leads to provide the primary thermal path. The Shutdown Mode allows the user to save maximum power by shutting down all device circuitry other than the serial interface, which reduces current consumption to typically less than 0.1µA. The TMP275 is ideal for extended temperature measurement in a variety of communication, computer, consumer, environmental, industrial and instrumentation applications.
