Avago Technologies APDS-9250 Digital RGB IR and Ambient Light Sensor uses four channels of red, green, blue and IR (RGB+IR) in a specially designed matrix arrangement. This allows for an optimal angular response and accurate RGB spectral response with high lux accuracy over various light sources. The APDS-9250 supports the I2C interface and has a programmable interrupt controller that frees up microcontroller resources.
