The SCH3226-SY is a 3.3V Super I/O Controller with an LPC interface. It includesKeyboard Controller, Hardware Monitoring capabilities, Power Control logic, andMotherboard Glue logic. The device provides 4 full serial ports and the optionfor two additional 4-Pin serial ports. The serial ports are fullyfunctional NS16550 compatible UARTs that support data rates up to 1.5Mbps. Hardware Monitoring capability has programmable,automatic fan control. It can alert the system to out-of-limit conditionsand automatically control the speed of multiple fans in response. System related functionality, which offersflexibility to the system designer, included 40 General Purpose I/O (GPIO)control functions and control of two LED's. The product is available in commercial (0°C to+70°C and industrial (-40°C to +85°C) temperature ranges.
